| Hi! We're the Pear! This is what we look like now. The picture on the home page was what we looked like when we became a team in 1990. We met in 1987 in a clown troupe. We quickly saw that we could combine our talents as partners so, by golly, we did! Deb focused on guitar, banjo, and singing while Mat stayed with clown, mime and juggling. In time we added more and more colorful pieces to our "patchwork" variety act. That, of course, is the meaning behind the "Patchwork" piece of our name. Hopefully the use of "Pear" (for the other piece) will be seen as what it is, a clever play on words, rather than as a non-clever ignorance of them. We hope that you will check out the rest of the site and contact us with any questions. We believe that our skills as performers are gifts to be given to any who will receive them. We hope that you will! |
